Ingredients

  • 500 g of chestnuts
  • 1 tablespoon of water
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Directions

1. Preparation of chestnuts: First, wash the chestnut well and dry it with a kitchen towel. Using a sharp knife, make a cross on the flat part of each chestnut. This will prevent the chestnuts from cracking during baking. 2. Irrigation: Soak the chestnut in water for a few minutes to soften the skin and make it easier to open. 3. Baking: Place the chestnuts in the basket of the airfryer and bake them at 180°C for about 15 minutes. You can stir it once during baking so that it bakes evenly. 4. Service: After baking, cover it with a kitchen towel so that it cools down a bit and the shell softens. Then simply peel it and enjoy. If you wish, you can lightly salt it before serving.
