How to properly wash tea towels to remove all stains?

First step: Preparation

Always treat stains before washing the cloth. If it's on a cloth greasy stain, apply a little dishwashing detergent and rub it in gently. Leave on for 5 minutes, then rinse with warm water. For colored stains such as residues tomatoes or coffee, try a paste of baking soda and water that you leave on for a few minutes.

Washing in the washing machine

For best results, use hot water, as it dissolves fats and removes stains more effectively. It is recommended to add vinegar or baking soda, which will remove unpleasant odors and additionally clean the cloths. If you have white cloths, you can use them bleach, and a safe cleaner for colored ones.

Soak for better results

For really stubborn stains, we recommend soaking the cloths overnight in a solution of vinegar, baking soda and detergent. This mixture will remove stains and refresh textiles.

Drying and maintenance

After washing, dry the cloths in the air or on a medium temperature in the dryer, as the high temperature can permanently fix the stains. Also, avoid fabric softeners as they reduce the absorbency of cloths.

Additional tips

If the cloths are still not clean or smelling good after all these steps, it may be time to replace them. It is also recommended to have separate cloths for different tasks in the kitchen to avoid too much wear.
