How to stay positive in the world of the coronavirus?

Staying positive is more than just smiling.

Millions of people are entering one form or another of isolation due to the coronavirus, just to be able to fight against its spread. It's true, the world is still spinning, the situation is serious, but that doesn't mean we have to be negative and in a bad mood. As we face the significant challenges of the coronavirus, it is vital that we stay calm, compassionate and positive. In this way, we will act rationally and be focused on what is happening around us.

We need a positive mindset at this time. And how to stay positive?

Positive emotions

Happiness comes from positive emotions. Focusing on positive emotions is more than just smiling; is the ability to remain optimistic even in difficult times and to look at the situation from a constructive perspective. While the world of the coronavirus challenges optimism, there is something you can do yourself to stay afloat positive attitude, optimistic!

Limit your access to social networks and news. Listen or read them just once, twice a day so you stay informed. Do not bombard yourself with bad news, turn off the Internet, radio, TV. Don't worry every moment unnecessarily. Nothing will help.

Take time to appreciate your home and those with you. Take your time to enjoy with coffee, tea. Talk face to face (in your home) or remotely (with friends). Steer the conversation away from the coronavirus or agree that it is a forbidden topic.

Involvement

Isolation from other people yes more importance to communication with those who stay with you or communicating with those you contact online. Get distracted. Activities flood the body with positive hormones, which improve human well-being. When you focus on a task to the exclusion of everything else, time passes faster. Find engagement, calmness, focus and joy in work.

Enjoy work and various activities in the embrace of your home. Treat yourself during the day to read a book that you have wanted for a long time. Play a musical instrument. Do your research. Learn new things. Play board games with your family.

Relationships

Relationships are vital to meaning and purpose in life. Now you have time to think about how to put them back together or connect and help others. Now is the time to focus and nurture relationships within your family circle to take care of the seniors around you who may not be connected through social media and remain alone and scared (if you are HEALTHY). They have to express themselves courtesy and compassion!

Let's help each other, let's be one big heart.

Physical isolation doesn't mean you're emotionally isolated while the coronavirus pandemic swirls around you. Try it improve relationships with other people. Approach your neighbors, perhaps by phone or from a safe distance, to find out how they are doing. Are they healthy and do they need anything? Listen to them. Take the time to talk to your co-workers about how they are coping with working from home, listen to them. Take time for your partner and children, ask questions, listen to them.

Listening means understanding the emotions and feelings that a person is expressing. If you don't usually do this because you are too busy, now is a good opportunity to improve your relationships.

Purpose

The coronavirus has forced many individuals and institutions to rethink their purpose. Purpose gives meaning to your existence, your actions, your life. "The purpose of life is not to find yourself, but to create yourself." – Mr. Shaw

Research your purpose, write it down, and when you're ready, share it with others, it gives power to your goals. Once you find your purpose (this may take longer than the coronavirus isolation), consider how your current approach to life fits your purpose. Which activities and relationships support your mission and which don't.

Achievements

A sense of achievement gives you a sense of happiness, then you feel satisfied, full of yourself, you would jump to the sky. Remember your achievements, each one counts, no matter how small, let them remind you that you are in control of your life. Consider new goals.

Make a pledge in isolation small goals, the kind you can achieve. Exercise while working from home, which gets you out of your chair and into the fresh air, every hour for at least 10 minutes. Write a handwritten letter thanking someone from your past who helped you when you needed it... Imagine how they will feel when they read it.

Above all, tell those close to your heart that you love them. Now is the perfect opportunity to forget your grievances and build new paths together.
