The festive end of the year is approaching, when the streets are "strewn" with lights, and the smell of cookies wafts from the homes. The grand finale comes when we start counting down from 10 to 0 and that's when it hits over our heads and the sky turns the wildest colors. Fireworks! But now that we all carry a pretty good camera in our pockets, have you tried to take a picture of it? Usually the result is more modest, right? Here are some tips that might come in handy if you want to finally capture a good photo of the fireworks.
1. A steady hand
Before setting different values on the camera, note that a (pre)condition for a good photo of fireworks is a steady and steady hand. If for any reason you cannot keep your hands completely still, place the device on the stand.
2. No flash
Under no circumstances should you use a flash. You will probably be tempted to turn it on due to poor lighting conditions, but don't. The flash does not reach far enough, to illuminate the distant fireworks in any way.
3. Settings
Of course, you also need to know some correct settings on the device. To start turn off the HDR function (High Dynamic Range), as (too) long exposure will ruin the photo in this case. ISO setting should be set to the lowest possible value. You will also have to play a little with the 'openness' of the aperture to achieve the best possible exposure of the photo.
4. No digital zoom
You'll capture much more detail in your photo if you don't use digital zoom.
5. Burst function
Take photos with feature on burst, as you will want to capture as many photos as possible in the shortest possible time.
6. Take photos from different angles
Point the camera somewhere else every now and then, because you will be surprised what kind of photos can be created. Just that selfie can change the dynamic a bit.
