Huawei is celebrating 10 years of innovation in smart wearables for health and fitness by unveiling a new long-term strategy for the wearables industry called "Fashion Forward". This ambition aims to revolutionize wearables by combining advanced technology, fashionable design and improved health functions.
At an autumn event in Barcelona, Huawei presented a series of innovative devices, including a smart watch HUAWEI WATCH GT 4, the latest addition to the popular smartwatch series, combining innovative health and fitness features with style. The company also announced a global collaboration with a world-renowned fitness and healthy lifestyle influencer, Pamela Reif, who appeared at the presentation as an ambassador for Huawei wearable products.
As the new ambassador said during her introduction: “It's amazing to think that both Huawei and I started our fitness journey at the same time. In the ten years since I started as a professional fitness trainer, technology has played a huge role in enabling a healthier life,” she said Pamela. “Huawei is at the forefront of this innovation, but it's doing it in a really cool way. I look forward to being a part of that future and beyond.”
Pamela has incorporated the latest wearable into her exercise routine and announced a range of fitness programs that will be available exclusively on the app Huawei Health. These programs include some of its most famous workouts, specially tailored to allow users to get the most out of the smartwatch's health and fitness features, while increasing the effectiveness of their workouts, helping them better understand their health, and bringing style and fashion into their everyday lives.
High quality Huawei smartwatches
Over the past 10 years, Huawei has made a commitment improving disease prevention and reducing risks. It has offered users high-quality smartwatches that offer features to continuously monitor their health. In collaboration with over 100 professional institutions worldwide and more than 13 million users, Huawei has opened the way for health monitoring through wearable devices.
In 2016, Huawei introduced its first proprietary technology for monitoring vital health parameters, called HUAWEI TruSeen™ 1.0. Years later, Huawei developed its own sensor solutions that enabled wearable devices to support six types of dynamic heart rate monitoring. In 2018, 24-hour continuous heart rate monitoring was achieved with TruSeen™ 3.0. In 2020, however, a high-performance ECG sensor was integrated into the system TruSeen™ 4.0, which achieved continuous blood oxygen monitoring. Latest version TruSeen™ 5.0+ offers improved accuracy and supports more health parameters and risk checks.
Over the past decade, Huawei has strived to provide users with the best smart wearables, which use the latest technologies. With a focus on in-house development and fundamental scientific research, the brand has conducted innovative research in heart health, sleep breathing awareness, respiratory health, vascular health, blood sugar management and more. In the future, Huawei plans to include other health monitoring features in wearable devices, expanding the boundaries of health applications with features such as TruSeen™, TruSleep™, TruRelax™ and TruSport™, which enable heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen control and stress tracking and provide comprehensive health management of users right on their wrist.
