For Baselworld 2016, the world's largest watch and jewelry fair, Hublot is preparing the prestigious Big Bang Unico Sapphire wristwatch, a watch made of sapphire, a material second only to diamond in hardness. Behind the unique case hides the in-house UNICO mechanism, which is visible from all angles due to its transparency. Only 500 pieces will be available, which will not be cheap.
Hublot is a young watchmaking company (1980), which quickly made a name for itself in the world prestigious watches. They were the first to launch a watch with a skin-friendly and comfortable strap natural rubber, which was quickly adopted by other reputable watch brands. Their latest venture is transparent wristwatch Big Bang Unico Sapphire. They will make only 500 copies, and they will charge for each one $57,900.
For the first time, the watch, which resembles a work of art rather than a fashion accessory, will be presented to the public at the world's largest watch and jewelry fair in Basel, Baselworld 2016.

The Hublot Big Bang Unico Sapphire wristwatch is carved from sapphire with a treatment process that does not destroy its unique character. It is almost entirely made of sapphire, except for the mechanism and the screws and the part of the strap (this one is from silicone), which are from titanium.
