A sunny forecast, a full tank of gasoline, enthusiasm for the star-studded "line up" on the last day of the Fresh Island festival, a relaxed holiday atmosphere of three friends, what could possibly go wrong? My festival experience was fun and interesting and anything but predictable. A reliable companion by the name of Renault Captur stood by my side the whole way.
Every one the way to the sea they are accompanied by great expectations, be they only new adventures, spending romantic time with your partner, good fish with top quality wine or meeting last year's crush in the same place. We also set out on our own, each with our own wishes. I couldn't wait to drive through the beautiful landscape of Pag myself, Aida wanted to jump into the sea, and Tesa was excitedly waiting for Chris Brown. Our wishes came true, but we had to overcome a few more obstacles than we expected.
The red color of our Renault it shone in the strong July sun, we enjoyed the comfortable interior, and entrusted the navigation to "aunt from GPS". We locked like at your favorite coffee shop and thus overheard the instruction to turn right. With this, we extended our journey by about an hour, but Pag still awaited us in the sun. We took some photos, Aida managed to get wet for a few moments. We had to arrive at the festival site earlier, because the star concert was postponed to an earlier time due to the bad weather forecast. We arrived at the venue in a party mood, and our enthusiasm soon died down slightly, Chris Brown he canceled the performance. He was obviously afraid of the slight wind, because at that time the situation did not seem so dramatic to us. Convinced that nothing would happen with the concert, we went to the bar next door. It was then that rumors began to spread that Chris Brown was coming (and to this particular bar!). When he appeared on the stage, Tesa came to her dose of music, eagerly "snapping" every verse he sang.
A colorful night has moved into even more colorful morning. A review of the ferry timetable revealed that Chris Brown's fear and hasty escape was justified as the ferries were not leaving the island. They also closed Pag bridge. We're stuck.
We would have been happy to stay in Pag, but Aida and I were chasing a plane to Cancun. Convinced that the wind will calm down soon, we enjoyed breakfast and went for a walk through the streets of the town of Pag. Fresh information showed no improvement, so we began to worry. We asked the locals for advice, who suggested that we try our luck by crossing the bridge anyway. We did it! Otherwise, after more than three hours and despite the strong wind, Capture he provided us with a safe haven. On the other side, a traffic jam of several tens of kilometers awaited us, vehicles could barely move forward.

We did not get good information about the length of the stoppage, so we decided to ask the oncoming vehicle with Ljubljana registration. The driver (who, by the way, was one of the Slovenian MPs) advised us to turn around or find another detour. We bravely decided to take a 200 km longer detour via Knin, past the Plitvice Lakes towards home. Group transport to the airport to Venice Aida and I were late, but our faithful Renault brought us there quickly and safely.
