IBM is opening an innovation center in Ljubljana - IBM Innovation Center Ljubljana
On June 16, 2011, IBM will celebrate its 100th anniversary. In IBM Slovenia, the IBM Innovation Center Ljubljana will be opened on this day, which will be located in the Crystal Palace in Ljubljana. The center will be aimed at Slovenian companies, universities, developers, IBM business partners and others, as well as other representatives from the area of South-Eastern Europe.
Visitors to the center will be able to develop innovative solutions based on IBM technologies together with IBM experts, receive training, perform testing, etc. The IBM Innovation Center Ljubljana will join the global network of 40 IBM innovation centers in 33 countries that IBM has opened in the last two years and is the second in a row that IBM will open in 2011, as it celebrates its centenary .
The center will be officially opened by Roman Koritnik, general manager of IBM Slovenia, Joseph A. Mussomeli, US ambassador to Slovenia, prof. dr. Jadran Lenarčič, director of the "Jožef Štefan" Institute and Luis Rodriguez, global head of IBM's innovation centers. The opening of the IBM innovation center will be rounded off by a conversation with Peter Florjančič, one of the most established Slovenian innovators in the world.
