All Planica ice creams are made from fresh milk and cream. That means they are full flavor, higher quality and they contain all the benefits of milk.
Milk is a real treasure trove of nutrients that build and restore the human organism, give it energy and regulate its functions. Because it is full of ingredients that are necessary for the balanced growth, development and functioning of the human body, milk is considered the most perfect basic food.
Milk ice creams include those that contain at least 2.5 percent milk fat. However, if the ice creams are made from milk and cream and contain at least 8 percent milk fat, they are cream ice creams, which includes Planica.
Planica – a synonym for quality
All Planica products bear the mark Selected quality - Slovenia. The mark guarantees the consumer that the products are made from Slovenian raw materials, have special properties, are regularly inspected and, above all, are grown and processed in Slovenia. In the case of Planica, this means that the ice cream is made in Slovenia and from Slovenian milk and cream.
Ljubljanske mlekarne buys milk from 2,200 producers from all over Slovenia, all of whom are also certified for the Selected Quality scheme, which means that no more than 15 hours pass from the time the milk is collected at the collection point to processing at the dairy.
A tradition that keeps up with the times
This year was especially sweet for Planica ice cream lovers. The unique combination of three flavors – strawberry, vanilla, chocolate – was joined by two new flavor combinations: Choko Planica, with chocolate, dark chocolate and chocolate cookie flavors, and Bela Planica, with vanilla, bourbon vanilla and butter cookie flavors. Like the original Planica, the new combinations are pure creamy pleasure.
