"Ikea Hacka" is a kitchen concept designed by young industrial designers and optimized for the modern user and his needs. The "Hacka" modular kitchen is the perfect choice for all DIY enthusiasts, as it awakens imaginary thinking, leads to creative and unique solutions and is extremely user-friendly with extremely useful tricks.
It is in 2013 Ikea joined forces with Lund University of Industrial Design and with the project "Kitchen revolution 2025" offered master's degree students the opportunity to participate in the study of future kitchen needs and kitchen aesthetics. The first-year master's students were thus given the task of researching user needs in connection with food production and designing the kitchens of the future based on the research results.
The Lund students found their solution in the constantly developing trend of tricks for a simpler life and designed the modular kitchen system "Ikea Hack", which users can play with as they wish and satisfy all their kitchen and even office needs. With the modular system, we can assemble the kitchen according to our wishes and needs, and in addition to the Ikea components, we can also fit those we already have at home into the assembly itself. A prototype of the innovative kitchen system can be seen at Milan Design Week 2015.
