Forget about a dog bed that looks like a used camping pillow from '98. IKEA introduces UTSÅDD – a collection that will delight your pet, your interior and your inner aesthetic being.
If you're one of those people who orders a gluten-free latte for your dog dog cookies or you build a cardboard fort for your cat out of every box from the delivery, then sit, read, indulgeIKEA has launched a new pet collection – and it's not one of those "it'll be good enough" lines. It's the kind of line your cat would choose if they had a credit card.
Welcome to the world of UTSÅDD – where design, functionality and me-time your pet on a pedestal. The collection, which was two years in the making and includes input from veterinarians, product experts… and, yes, some very vocal cat testers, features 29 products for feeding, sleeping, playing, and hiding. Because, let’s be honest – a pet’s life is mostly wellness with a few breaks to chase the mailman.
What did your pet not know it needed (yet)?
Gourmet corner
Ceramic bowls that don't slide on the floor like a curling stone, and mats that catch every kibble your pup misses in their doggy frenzy. In a variety of sizes, colors, and – most importantly – dishwasher safe. Your Instagram will thank you.
Spa & Chill zone
Blankets and mattresses as soft as a dog's belly and as washable as your guilty conscience after you forgot to take your dog for a walk for the third time this week. Some models are even waterproof - which means: goodbye, wet paws on the couch.
Toys with character
Tires in the shape of an Allen key? Sure. Bones made of natural rubber and fabric? Sure. If dogs really are man's best friend, then they deserve better entertainment than a stuffed duck without a head.
Luxury hideaways
A cat contemplation tent? A rattan house that looks like a Pinterest board labeled “Japandi”? Yes and yes. LURVIG is back too – this time with a design that integrates right into KALLAX shelves. Finally, something more aesthetic than a cat in a sink.
Safety first – even if your dog thinks he's a stuntman
IKEA went all-in on safety as well. Every product is tested, analyzed, almost invited to a TED Talk on animal safety. And yes, the products have clear safety labels – along the lines of: “If your dog chews this, please replace it.” No more guesswork.
