ILLEGAL kru opens 2011 with a pearl from the neighborhood - the Italian Maztek, who sails on the wind of drum and bass, dubstep and breakbeat, comes to us for the first time.
Maztek alias Matteo Cavo played the guitar until he came of age, and at the age of 18 he became interested in drum and bass and in 2005 founded the label Subculture Records. He is one of those producers who have been making their way more and more to the fore over the years. He collaborated with Optivo, Cause4Concern, Proktah, BTK and many others.
Along with Maztek, the local flag bearers of the drum and bass scene Telekinesis will tear up the dance floor in K4, for which 2011 will be a great year. Quite a few of their pieces will be released on foreign labels - the first for the compilation Bad Taste presents. Alongside them, illegal host sounds are represented by Hedon and Spade.
On the small dance floor, DJ PlankTon, one half of the BeatMyth tandem, who has been spinning drum and bass in the ILLEGAL crew, will spoil the audience with breaks. He will be accompanied by the Neurokrem team, and Cookie and Erma from the Vibe Department will take care of combinatorics with dubstep.
