In Japan they have a museum of stones with human faces

There are many unusual museums in the world, including one that exhibits stones that resemble human faces. The Chinsekikan Museum, which translates as Hall of Curious Stones, is located in the Japanese town of Chichibu, northwest of Tokyo.

We have probably all come across at some point in our lives a heart-shaped stone. But you know that there are also those in whom we recognize human face? Did you know they have Elvis Presley and Jesus Christ your own stone counterpart? Such and many other stones can be found in the Japanese museum Chinsekikan, where they keep over 1700 stones, of which there are 900 that closely resemble the human face. The Japanese named them jinmenseki.

If you find yourself in Japan, just make time to visit this one an unusual museum in Chichibo. Stones that resemble human faces - in addition to the listed pair, you can also find stone counterparts Boris Yeltsin, a character from a video game Donkey Kong and the alien from the movie ET –, the owner collected over fifty years. All stones are natural and untreated, which was the owner's only request Shoza Hajame (after his death in 2010, the museum was taken over by his daughter), who 'suffered' from pareidolia (by a tendency to make sense of undefined formations) that he accepted the stone into his own 'hall of fame'.
