Well, we have it! A new island. It appeared among the Outer Banks group of islands belonging to North Carolina, USA. And although a sandy island in the Atlantic Ocean looks like paradise, it is not.
The island, which does not yet have a name, is surrounded by dangerous currents, and they 'stick out' through the sand whale bones and wrecks of ill-fated ships. They also circle the island sea tigers and giant manta rays. Nothing like paradise, right?

"It's an island unusually large compared to what we've seen in decades," says Dave Hallac, superintendent of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. This is how it should measure in length 1.6 kilometers, and good ones in width 120 meters. And although the island can it disappears with the next storm, can also increase. But only temporarily.
