Octavia RS – Škoda's "super" Octavia hits the roads in autumn

To mark the 40th anniversary of their most successful rally model - the Škoda 130 RS, Škoda is rapidly preparing the most powerful version of the Octavia RS so far. It is supposed to increase the power of the current Octavia RS, even up to 206 kW or 280 HP, as well as certain design changes, with which the mentioned model should work even more toxic.

The Czechs are said to be very close to the end of the development of an even more peppered version of the most sporty Octavia, and almost the only remaining decision that the leaders have to make now is whether to install a 230 KM engine from the Golf GTI or one with 280 KM from the Leon Cupre280. In terms of price, it should be positioned below the Leon Cupra and Golf R models.

The most powerful version of the Octavia of all time will also differ from the current one in terms of exterior, which will be even more refined than that of the current RS.

The heart of the golf GTI or even the leon cupre280

According to the source, the engineers are said to be thinking from of two power-up alternatives namely, a 169 kilowatt (230 hp) 2.0-liter TSI engine is supposed to be installed under the hood, which is already running in the current golf GTI performance, and the second alternative is supposed to be the engine that provides the pressure in the new one leon cupra 280. Regardless of which engine will end up in the nose, the Octavia RS should get a limited range due to its better position on the road differential lock, but kept the front-wheel drive due to the lower price.
