Swiss luxury watchmaker Audemars Piguet has chosen Danish architecture firm BIG to provide the architectural design for the Spiral Museum, an extension of their corporate headquarters.
The 2,400m2 pavilion will undoubtedly leave a mark, despite being connected and integrated with the environment and landscape. The museum, called The Maison des Fondateurs, will be located in western Switzerland, in the Vallée de Joux, next to the historic workshop where the company has been based since its foundation in 1875. The new facility, a museum that spirals above the slope of the earth, will have galleries and rooms for various events and numerous related workshops.
