This store has no profit and only employees shop there

In Brussels, they recently opened an "unusual" cooperative store BEES Coop, which employs the same people who also buy the products. Profit is not important to them, but the efficiency of such a system will make you think.

The Belgians they remembered in an interesting way, how to oppose large retail chains ‒ they founded BEES Coop, a cooperative store in which they are mainly bought by the neighbors, who also decide which products will be sold and bought. These same people who buy products, are also store employees.

Cooperative store BEES Coop is created to prove that it can people choose which quality products to buy at a very low price. The founders created it that way a new trading model where each participant can become an owner, seller and buyer ‒ they called him a model cooperation, namely any person who joins the market, becomes a collaborator who will participate in making joint decisions, maintenance and solving other important tasks.

Some call it ugly veggie, I call it real food! We've been tricked all these years to a food standard that's not total reality. It's more a total disconnection from the perfect imperfection of nature. I feel like most people take for granted what they buy at the supermarket without ever asking themselves "where does it come from?" Don't eat it because it looks good, eat it because it's tasty, local, without chemicals, that's the real deal! And by the way, perfectly shaped carrots in plastic bags are the worst scam ever, but if you like this – pay more – eat veggies that have been soaked in chlorine – produce plastic and carrot waste for nothing, be my guest! According to @natgeo there's one third of the #food worldwide production that goes to #waste, and it could feed two million people. Participating colleagues thus choose the time, when and how they will help in the store. If you were a customer today, you can already be busy tomorrow. The main benefit to the customer is that becomes part of the system, as the shop is open only to colleagues. But it guarantees high quality products at a low price.

Cooperative store BEES Coop does not receive profit for operation, as its main purpose is ensure high quality and cost efficiency. Cooperative members themselves they choose suppliers of goods according to personal criteria, so it is the main one focus on quality rather than profit unlike conventional supermarkets.
