Equipped with only black pen and paper, Australian artist CJ Hendry delivers beautiful black and white images of everyday and fashion objects, such as an Hermès scarf and a horse head with Louis Vuitton logo prints. She has perfected her technique to such an extent that her creations seem enviably real.
At first glance, it seems as if we are looking at a photograph of real objects, so the fact that it is actually an object is all the more surprising outstanding illustrations. The creative process of a talented artist CJ Hendry begins with a choice fascinating subject, sometimes creating it herself, photographing it under different light and angles. He then selects the image that reflects the greatest degree of simplicity while displaying the best attributes and presses it onto a large format of high quality, thicker paper. Finally, more than follows 200 hours of sketching, coloring and shading with a simple black pen.
