Spanish designer Javier Iloret brought the art of assembling the Rubik's cube to the world of urban architecture. He created an interactive facade that transforms into a colorful play of light through a cube interface.
The Austrian project, Ars Electronica, brings a different dimension of connecting people with architecture.
Passers-by are invited to remotely play with the patterns of the facade via manually operated 3D printed cubes. The data of each move is recorded via Bluetooth technology in a computer program, which accordingly converts it into light and color projected on the exterior of the building. Assembling the Rubik's Cube thus takes on completely new dimensions.
