Behind the brand Loui Ferry is Vili Koderman, a 24-year-old from Kidri, who succeeded in the hairdressing profession abroad. One of our most successful young men abroad meets the stars of the world every day. He began to pave the way to Hollywood on his home soil, and at the age of 18 he began working with the renowned Italian hairdresser Angelo Seminaru in Miami. Today, he is one of the most sought after fashion stylists, during his career he has met Rihanna, Eva Longoria, David Ghandy, Kendall Jenner, Karlie Kloss, Karl Lagerfeld, Naomi Campbell and Adriana Lima, and he has also cut the hair of the Qatari prince. He has a bright future ahead of him and something awaits you in Ljubljana too, where Loui will be doing your hair from October 17. We talked with him about the small joys of life, his successes and new challenges.
How would you describe the people you've worked with in Hollywood, and what's the difference between celebrity clients and ordinary mortals?
People everywhere are interesting, successful, inspiring, confident and kind. I myself do not see any differences between Slovenians and others. Each individual has hair and blood under the skin. For me, a person is a person regardless of where he comes from, what language he speaks and what his profession is.
If you could choose anyone, who would be your muse?
My muse would be one of the most successful models right now, Karlie Kloss. Because it is a unique model that dedicates itself to work in the right way. She also has a special charisma, is very nice and professional. I have already worked with Karlie Kloss at fashion weeks and on various photo shoots.
What in the world are you most grateful for?
That I have exceptional parents who support me to the maximum from the very beginning.
What kind of music inspires you the most when it comes to styling your hair?
At work, I like calm music the most: chill out, deep house...
What do you like to do in your free time?
I spend a lot of time in nature, doing sports and spending time with my parents and friends.
Your greatest achievement?
That at my age I saw and experienced the whole world, and at the same time I kept the values in life, i.e. that I didn't lose myself.

I wouldn't change a thing right now. For me, the past is the past, I live here and now and I don't regret anything that has already happened.
You reached for the highest stars. Where did the desire to open a hair salon in Ljubljana come from in the future?
It started when I was a child, when I dreamed of being a hairdresser and having my own salon when I grow up. But now I think it's the right time to make my dream come true.
What is the key to the success of a hair salon?
I believe that the quality of work is necessary for a successful business.
What is quality work?
For me, quality work is one that is made to the best of a person's abilities and is at the same time unique. For a hairdresser in the fashion field, such as fashion weeks, celebrity hairstyles and photoshoots for the best magazines, it is necessary to have everything in the set; which means being unique, creative, capable, working with integrity and working differently than most.
How will you maintain the high standard of your services?
I will provide my employees with regular training in salons around the world where I worked, and of course by participating in fashion weeks abroad. Personally, I am still most proud of my work at the Marinka Hair Salon in Kamnica, where I had the honor of receiving professional knowledge and life lessons from the hairdresser Marinka Volmajer. Among other things, I also worked in the two best hair salons in Ljubljana at the time. During fashion weeks, I worked on more than 350 fashion shows for renowned fashion brands such as: Chanel, Armani, Givenchy, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana, Dior, Gucci and others. I would send my employees to the fashion shows of the aforementioned fashion designers, as this is an invaluable experience. At each of these, it was possible to acquire completely new knowledge. Otherwise, I have the Opus Beauty agency in Los Angeles and my own agent, which means that I work exclusively for specific clients and selected special events.
Will the customer in Ljubljana have the same experience as celebrities in Hollywood?
For sure. For me, customer satisfaction and quality come first, and then everything else. So that everyone who visits my salon will enjoy top-notch celebrity hair styling. With the knowledge and experience gained abroad, I will design hairstyles worthy of the red carpet.
