Her coat, her trademark, is thick, shiny and silky smooth. Her sapphire blue eyes stare icily ahead, not even trying to hide the contempt she feels for everyone in front of her. This is Karl Lagerfeld's cat, Choupette, the whimsical French sensation who earned more than £2 million last year, reportedly surpassing the earnings of supermodel Cara Delevingne.
The beauty who bewitched the fashion designer for Chanel is not a long-legged beauty. In reality, her legs - and all four of them - are quite short. Choupette is a three-year-old cat and pride, joy, and maybe even a slightly disturbing obsession Karl Lagerfeld or "Daddy", as he calls himself. Choupette is so famous that her na Twitter and Instagram followed by more than a hundred thousand people. It boasts an entry in the Wikipedia and does not leave his bed for less than a million pounds. Her salary, more than 2 million British pounds, last year it came from only two employers - a Japanese cosmetics company Shu Uemura and German car brands Opel.
Fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld says: “She (Choupette) is the center of the world and when you see her, you understand. She's kind of a Greta Garbo. The way he moves, the way he plays. There is something unforgettable about her. It is an inspiration for elegance."
