Jaguar I-PACE: the most technologically advanced Jaguar

The wait is over, because the long-awaited Jaguar I-PACE is finally only with us. Jaguar's already well-known F-PACE and E-PACE SUVs have been joined by a fully electric SUV representative of the cat family. Jaguar promises that the I-PACE will be the most technologically advanced and most efficient car in their range, and Tesla and other electric competitors are already eyeing the freshest competitor.

Such efficiency Jaguar I-PACE-u made possible by a capacity battery 90 kilowatt hours. It has enough energy stored for 386 kilometers driven. Regenerative braking and driving using only gas pedals enable the maximum distance traveled. Charging the battery up to 80 % capacity requires only 40 minutes, assuming that we connected the car to a fast DC-charger with a power of hundreds of kilowatts. If you were to charge the I-PACE at a standard household socket, it would take 10 hours to charge the 80 % battery.

The advantage of the Jaguar I-PACE is not only in a durable battery, but also in power. It has an electric motor 394 horsepower and an immediate 694 Nm of torque. The I-PACE starts like an arrow from a standstill, and all its power is transferred to the all four wheels. The batteries are located low, between the front and rear wheels. It guarantees this low center of gravity and even distribution of weight. If we add to that the serial active air suspension, we get a truly sporty electric SUV.

The exterior design was inspired by the Jaguar C-X75 concept supercar. The I-PACE has both low and short front, which continues into the aerodynamically adjusted roof. The rear window is curved and further reduces air resistance. The design of the I-PACE is another proof that designers have much more freedom when working with electric motors in the design of cars. It's the size of the I-PACE significantly larger than the E-PACE, but slightly smaller than the F-PACE.

And if the exterior already has its own recognizable shape, the interior is no different. There is plenty of space for passengers, and there is space for luggage 685 liters of space. The interior is covered in the highest quality materials available grained leather and a blend of wool and recycled suede. I-PACE is the first Jaguar to have a built-in entertainment and information system Touch Pro Duo, which we already saw in the Land Rover Velar. It consists of two larger ones 10 inch screen, and below it is even smaller 5.5 inch screen. You will even find it in the car Amazon's Alexa, which you can ask if the car is locked, or about the state of charge of the battery and how much range it still allows.

The Jaguar I-PACE will go on sale from the second half of this year and will be available with three trims. In the first year, it will be possible to order it with a special equipment First Edition, which will add some sparkle to such the best equipment. Jaguar will offer for the battery 8-year warranty or a warranty for 160,000 kilometers driven.
