The completely new line-up of bassist Luc Ex, a founding member of the legendary Dutch punk band The Ex, will perform in Maribor.
They are much more than just a jazz band. They skilfully interweave typical jazz elements in melody and rhythm. They get their recognizable sound with unusual and innovative pop-and-noise-arrangements and soundscapes that will convince every jazz enthusiast. They will join him on stage Ab Baars on saxophone, a longtime member of the band ICP Orchestra, the leading musician of contemporary jazz Ingrid Laubrock also on the saxophone and one of the most sought-after drummers of our time Hamid Drake, who played with giants such as Don Cherry, Herbie Hancock, Peter Brötzmann and many others. The team will introduce themselves to us for the first time and it is good to see what they are preparing for us.
