A group of top artists from West Africa is coming to Jazz Club Ljubljana Castle. They all come from distinctly artistic families or clans, which have a leading place in the arts, especially in music and dance, in African cultural history and also in today's society. They are called griots.
So we will be witnesses the ultimate "classical" West African musical tradition and virtuosity on exotic African musical instruments, which can only be compared with the greatest achievements in world music history. Mohamed Med Camara is recognized in Guinea (Conakry) as the greatest djemb player with the title "golden hands of his generation". Adam Keith he comes from Mali, his family has been playing the harp koro for 72 generations. His uncle is a multiple Grammy winner Toumani Diabate.
Moussa N'tanga Camara, also from Guinea, has been singing and acting since the age of six. As a professional musician, he moved to Japan for a few years and now lives and works in Paris.
