The conceptually original project, which compositionally combines the principles of bebop improvisation and swing with a very elaborate and precise arrangement approach, more typical of classical Western music, is a tribute to the great composers of jazz standards (Richard Rogers, Cole Porter, Johnny Mandel, George Gershwin, Jimmy Van Heusen...) and piano trio of giants, such as Tommy Flanagan, Oscar Peterson, Benny Green, Bill Charlap, Erroll Garner and others.

The cast The New Standards Trio, consisting of world-renowned jazz musicians and pianists Emmet Cohen (Christian McBride Trio) and double bassist Russell Hall (Branford Marsalis Quartet), with newly created original compositions, brings jazz music back to the people, swing and blues roots. With its freshness, joy and hypnotic dance energy, it provides good and liberating feeling for listeners and returns jazz to the status of popular musice. The band, which premiered at the world-renowned John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC, will take us to a unique journey and gave us an iconic and nostalgic re-experience of New York.
