Guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani is coming to Ljubljana. One of the most respected and technically accomplished guitarists in the history of rock will perform in the Tivoli Hall and play us the hits he has compiled in his more than three-decade career. He worked with many global mega stars such as Mick Jagger, Deep Purple. In the 1990s, he went on tour with the group G3, which included: Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Eric Johnson. They were seen by more than ninety thousand listeners in North America. The tour was also filmed in a documentary called G3 Live In Concert. Satriani's music is characterized by high-quality instrumental music. Using samples of popular music standards, it allows us to hear rich harmonic melodies enriched with warm, bluesy-tinged tones and sophisticated guitar phrasing. Last year, Satriani teamed up with Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony of Van Halen and Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. They formed the band Chickenfoot. The band's first album became an international success. They have received awards in the US, Canada and Europe, and Classic Rock Magazine named them the best new band of last year. At the beginning of October, Satriani released his new album Black Swans and Wormhole Wizards, which he will present to us at the concert. Of course, there will be no shortage of good, old hits.
