A tenor who can boast of having performed in most prestigious opera houses in the world during his long career, such as the Theater alla Scala of Milan, New York Metropolitan Opera House, San Francisco Opera, Vienna Staatsoper, London's Royal Opera House, Oper of Munich , Chicago's Lyric Opera, and with her voice she delights both young and old. Of course it's about Josep Mario Carreras, better known to everyone by name José Carreras. Born in Barcelona, he studied music in his hometown. He began his professional career at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in the 1970s. In the early 1990s, he alerted the world public to his talent when he performed as one of three tenors alongside Plácido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti in a series of mass concerts that brought the opera genre closer to mainstream music and the wider masses. At the end of the nineties, it was easy to listen to opera arias thanks to the three tenors. On his musical journey, he collaborated with many famous conductors, such as Herbert von Karajan, Claudio Abbado, Riccardo Muti, Lorin Maazel, Carlo Maria Giulini, Leonard Bernstein, Zubin Metha and many others. More than sixty operas can be found in his repertoire. His discography includes more than one hundred and fifty recordings, of which fifty complete operas, oratorios, contemporary and classical recitals... We will also sang some of his best hits in Ljubljana. He will be joined on stage by special guest, soprano Celine Byrne.
