Joseph Maria Carreras, better known as José Carreras, is returning to Ljubljana. The tenor has a special attachment to our capital and is always happy to return. He says he has a special attachment to our audience. At the same time, he is also bound to Ljubljana by his collaboration with the RTV Slovenia orchestra, with whom he recorded some songs for his new album, which will be released in September. Born in Barcelona, he studied music in his hometown. During his long career, he performed in all major opera houses, such as the Theater alla Scala of Milan, New York Metropolitan Opera House, San Francisco Opera, Vienna Staatsoper, London's Royal Opera House, Oper of Munich, Chicago's Lyric Opera... His repertoire includes more than sixty operas, he performed for television, films. The discography includes more than one hundred and fifty recordings, fifty complete operas, oratorios, pop and classical recitals. He will compose a very special repertoire for us. A mixture of opera, operetta and passionate music. He will perform with his old friends, the RTV Slovenija Symphony Orchestra.
