When Katalin Varga's husband discovers that he is not Orbán's father, he throws his wife out of the house in front of witnesses. Under the pretext of going to visit a sick grandmother, mother and son head towards the Carpathians, which for Katalin means returning to the place from where she ran away and where she never wanted to return.
