Kate Moss in Alexander McQueen's eerie campaign

Alexander McQueen's new Spring/Summer 2014 collection, in all its characteristic fashion eccentricity, is accompanied by a dark campaign with Kate Moss, which is watched tensely through the eyes of an unknown voyeur.

A futuristic ad inspired by the British cult thriller of the 60s, Death in the eyes (Peeping Tom), was filmed in East London, under the direction of a long-time director McQueen's colleague Steven Klein. In the story, he appears as the central character and face of the campaign Kate Moss, whose already almost preternaturally shiny yellow hair penetrates the darkness of horror. Walking along the night street, where the only light is emitted by a shop with buzzing televisions showing bizarre scenes, the black shadow of a stranger with an antique camera sneaks up quietly from behind the background, through which we observe his voyeuristic pursuit, all the way into the depths of an abandoned building, where he gradually discards individual pieces of clothing. We are constantly accompanied by the haunting sound of excited breathing, and the thriller atmosphere is further spiced up by a replica of a doll that the pursuer holds in his hands and dramatically throws into the trash can.

The exceptional pieces of the new collection are thus inspired by the progressive art movements of the early 20s in their mixture of primitive graphic forms, vibrant colors and sharp lines. Pleated skirts in the look of Scottish kilts, modern biker jackets and bold leather tops, decorated with gold metallic and fiery feather accessories. Once again, McQueen delivers a stunning collection featuring an out-of-this-world pulse-raising game.
