Kim Kardashian with her brand SKIMS and The North Face present a new line of ski clothing that combines functionality and seduction. But will this fashion adventure really warm the hearts of ski enthusiasts?
When we think of ski gear, we usually imagine clothing that is anything but flattering for the figure. A Kim Kardashian, who has been an enthusiastic skier since childhood, is with her own brand SKIMS has entered into a collaboration with The North Face, to change that. The result? The collection includes 14 pieces including fur coats, jumpers, leggings and hats, all in the signature earthy tones that SKIMS is known for.
In the past, Kim has customized her ski gear to accentuate her curves, and now she's brought that aesthetic to the new collection. “Skiwear can look amazing with the right fit,” says Kim.
But no matter how fashionable the clothes are, the question arises: will they be warm enough for cold winter days on the ski slopes? Some fans expressed doubts about the collection's warmth and functionality, comparing it to the design of Kanye West's Yeezy line.
The collection will be available from December 10th. on the SKIMS website and at select The North Face stores. Prices range from $60 to $1,200 and sizes from XXS to 3XL.
Although the collaboration between SKIMS and The North Face is unusual at first glance, it combines technical know-how with fashion aesthetics. Will the collection really stand up to the challenges on the ski slopes or will it remain just a fashion statement? The first winter days on the white slopes will show this.
