Knots Studio: when nautical skill meets modern design

In her first home collection, Neta Tesler drew inspiration from the nautical world. After graduating from the textile studies of the Shenkar College of Engineering and Design in 2013, the aspiring designer opened the design studio "Knots Studio" in Tel Aviv. The name of the studio dates back to the time of her schooling, when in her last year she became familiar with the recognizable aesthetics and practice of tying special sailor's knots.

Further research led the young artist to the discovery of a special one artificial knot tying techniques, which eventually became the foundation of her first studio product line. All products found in the online store "Knots Studio", are thus variations of one and the same knotting technique and move mainly in the sphere home decor. Neta's first collection includes products that we find cute stools, stylishly perfect chairs and decorative elements for sofas.

Making each of the interesting "knotty people" begins with the selection of high-quality and sometimes printed textiles, continues with sewing and filling with hard foam, which helps to form the desired shape, and ends with adding wooden handmade components such as chair legs and wooden rings for stools.
