La Verita is no ordinary show. It is an artistic project of theater technique, there are invisible gestures, the play of shadows, extraordinary methods of lighting, acrobatic figures inspired by surrealist poetics.
It is a project of the Swiss Compagnia Finzi Pasco, which was created in 2011 by the merger of Inlevitas and Teatro Sunil. We could see them here years ago, but this time again and again with something new. With thirteen stunning artists exploring dreams and the idea of the supernatural, La Verita will take place in front of the original curtain painted by Salvador Dalì in 1944. The story of this canvas is extremely interesting. It was forgotten for decades in the props warehouse of the New York Metropolitan Opera, and then sold to a Swiss art foundation. Instead of exhibiting it in one of the museums, this huge, priceless work of art was offered to the Compagnia Finzi Pasco, thus giving it a new life on the stage, something Dalì would surely have appreciated. It is a canvas measuring 9 m x 15 m, and it saw the light of day for the first time on January 13 of this year.

"Dreamlike beauty and whirlwinds of creativity... Beauty combined with nonsense and mockery... this completely fresh creation is undeniably marked by the most inspiring violence and aesthetics." (Isabelle Paré, Le Devoir)
