In 2015, the Slovenian music group Laibach plowed the field when they became the first foreign group to perform in the otherwise hermetically sealed North Korea. On May 1, 2017, with a concert at the Jeonju Film Festival in South Korea, they will become the first rock band to perform in both Koreas.

May 1, 2017 Laibach are returning to Korea, only this time to the South, where their music will not be subjected to strict censorship, as it was two years ago in the warring neighbor. They will perform at the Jeonju Film Festival, where they will screen theirs documentary musical Liberation Day (Liberation Day).
