Lara Kamnik, a successful creator of travel content, uses an exceptional smartphone in her work

Z Lara Kamnik we talked about her work, the upcoming holidays, and her favorite winter and holiday destinations. You and your partner are living the dream life. They travel around the world, visit prestigious destinations, where not only do they cover all your expenses, but they also get paid for the promotion. Is it really as dreamy as it sounds?

Lara: It really sounds like a dream, and for the most part it is. There are many moments when we can pinch ourselves to "check" if we are not really dreaming, hehe. But it is true that there is a lot hidden in the background and it is necessary to know that the life we live requires a lot of hard work. We're not a couple who ditched our day jobs and rode off into the sunset. But we are very happy that we have turned something that interests us and makes us happy into something that we can make a living from.

Is it sometimes tiring?

Lara: Of course, life is not always as glamorous as in pictures. Between glamor and travel, there are many hours spent at the computer, cheap meals and stressful travel days.

How has the pandemic affected your travels?

Lara: Due to the pandemic, we have certainly traveled much less in the last two years than before. Like many others in the tourism industry, our work has also been affected by the excess of "lockdowns". At that time, we used the time for things that we may not have had time for before, such as our online store, where we now sell our presets (filters) for photos. It took some adjusting. But we are very happy that we can still continue our work and continue to work on various projects, sometimes even a little more from home - depending on how Covid "allows" us.

Happy December, Christmas and New Year are coming - what are your plans? Do you already know which places you will visit in the run-up to Christmas?

Lara: Our next trip is Jamaica. After that, we will visit the Christmas markets in Zagreb and Budapest, and in the middle of December we are going to the Dolomites. We will spend the Christmas holidays and the New Year at home with our closest friends.

Which is your favorite destination for December pampering and why?

Lara: Snow-covered Dolomites, where you can ski in the morning, and after a good lunch you can enjoy steam baths and panoramic saunas with wonderful views of the mountains. Even better, an escape before the short cold days to the exotic, because winter is not my favorite season anyway.

Lara: The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 5G is a fast, compact and durable phone, which is extremely important to me in my work. It is large and transparent, but when closed, it is small enough not to take up much space in a bag, jacket or pants. It's perfect in every segment, and since I'm on the go a lot, I'm also impressed with the battery life, which easily allows me to use the phone all day.

What impressed you the most about the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 5G phone?

Lara: I'm most impressed by its durability – it's the world's first foldable smartphone that's both water-resistant and extremely durable thanks to the strongest aluminum frame.

What would you say about the quality of photos the phone can take and its practicality in taking selfies?

Lara: I am positively surprised by the quality and sharpness of the images, especially in slightly poorer light, and in ultra-wide-angle photography/recording mode. What I like about night mode is that I no longer need a tripod for a sharp photo, but I just set the camera to 'night mode', fold the phone to the desired angle and place it on a flat surface. This is where its practicality comes into play. Because of the easy way to take photos in bendable mode, I also use it a lot when taking selfies or stories that I often use on social media. The same when I shoot hyperlapse. This is definitely the phone feature I use the most.
