For Jureta Berka it is hard to say that he is a normal student of mechanical engineering, because he is very unusual for a 20-year-old from Domžale. For six years now, he has been passionately dedicated to the development and production of carbon products, everything from the idea and the production of molds to the final product - the emphasis is mainly on ultra-light components that are exclusively made to measure and where low weight is of utmost importance. Many integrated seats, carriers, road bicycle frames, and even prostheses have been created under his hands. braces. He proved that he is not a completely ordinary child as early as elementary school, when he and a friend worked on rockets for two years and earned the award for the best Slovenian young scientists.
Since Jure was also a competitive road cyclist until recently (among other things, a Slovenian representative), he devoted himself to the production of bicycle components in the last six years. The beginnings were difficult, there was a lot of learning and testing, but soon he made contacts that are hard to come by in this business. It wasn't even without money, he invested everything he earned as a cyclist and scholarship holder into his hobby, which today is more than just a hobby. Jure, a man of many ideas, then went a step further and founded as an independent entrepreneur Berk Composites. With really excellent work, he has opened the door wide, and his drive has also been noticed by some professional cycling teams, for which he already makes some components to order: seat posts for the Sky team, he can also boast of being on the biggest cycling At the Eurobike fair, the Swedish company A2J used Berk Composites seats on its exhibition bikes – the bikes with the lightest frames at the fair. Things are happening at the speed of light for Jure, he is about to open a company (as a doo), and he already has job offers...
