In collaboration with British designer Paul Smith, Leica playfully updated its CL model.
The Leica brand has maintained a timeless retro design in its cameras for many years, which attracts a lot of attention due to its elegance. But what would such a camera look like if you added a touch of liveliness to the sophisticated German design? The answer can be found in limited edition Leica CL camera, which he furnished in color British designer Paul Smith; years ago he also left his mark on limited edition Land Rover Defender SUV.
The top of the camera is painted in vivid blue color, and the lower part is decorated colored lines, characteristic of Paul Smith. Not even the trigger button was left unpainted. It is hidden on the top side of the peephole eye drawing, and above the screen we find the inscription "look and see” (look and see). We must not forget about special strap of neon colors, a high-quality cleaning cloth with motifs of old Paul's cameras and, of course Elmarit-TL 18mm f/2.8 lens. The limited edition Leica CL can be purchased via Paul Smith online store, and the price is 3,975 euros.
