Les2Aples is one of the most popular ski resorts in France among Slovenians. At 3,600 meters, it is the largest glacier in Europe, which is also open for skiing in the summer. Snowboarders are also welcome, as one of the largest snowboard parks awaits them.
Many tracks are suitable for both beginners and those who never get enough adrenaline. For non-skiers, the small village is perfect for winter relaxation and gaining new energy. The free minibus runs in circular traffic around the village and thus transports you from one end to the other, from the ski resort to your home. Les2Alpes it has everything: an ice rink, a climbing wall, an outdoor pool, a fitness center, a sauna, a cinema that plays special afternoon shows in case of bad weather, and bowling. For fans of holiday shopping, there are many shops with souvenirs, delicatessens and, above all, sports fashion, including the Billabong store. Excellent morning coffee is served in the Hawaiian-decorated Wind Snow Café, on the ski slope you can have lunch at 3,200 meters in the Les Glaciers restaurant, where after a hearty meal you can also sunbathe a little in comfortable deckchairs. If you want to party in the evening, go to La Grotte du Jeti, if you want to continue the party late into the night (La Grotte du Jeti closes at 1.30), you can do so at the L'Avalanche discotheque.
VAL THORENS
The excellent tourist infrastructure and modern skiing facilities convince every winter enthusiast. Ski center Val Thorens offers 150 kilometers of ski tracks with 35 modern and powerful ski equipment. In addition to the pleasures of skiing, Val Thorens is also the right place for those who enjoy lazy winters. Culture lovers will be surprised by the weekly offer of classical or jazz concerts, and in the sports center you can enjoy additional activities - tennis, squash, table tennis, climbing, volleyball, fitness or royal relaxation - swimming, jacuzzi, sauna... The culinary offer in Val Thorens is very extensive (70 bars and restaurants will certainly satisfy all tastes), but we suggest that you have your first morning coffee in one of the bars on Rue de Caron, for example in the Baramix cafe or the Chantaco bar. In the yellow pages of Val Thorens, you can choose where to go for lunch depending on the price range.
