The second part of one of the most anticipated fantasy trilogies will be screened exclusively and pre-premiered in Slovenia in the Kranj cinema Cineplexx on Wednesday, December 11, starting at 6:30 p.m.
The second part of the film adaptation of the bestselling book The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien, The Desert of Smaug, directed by the brilliant Peter Jackson, will once again completely amaze you with magical depictions of the landscape, picturesque characters and a tense story. The film follows the adventure of the main character Bilbo Bisagin on a journey in the company of the wizard Gandalf and thirteen dwarves under the leadership of Thorin Oakenshield in an epic mission to reconquer the Lonely Mountain and restore the lost kingdom of Erebor. Along the way, they encounter giant spiders, are captured by forest elves, and end up facing the greatest danger of all, one that will test their courage, friendships, and the journey itself.
The movie fantasy will be shown exclusively and pre-premiered in the cinema Cineplexx Kranj, which will host the Slovenian Tolkien society Gil-galad, which will take the visitors to Tolkien's magical world even before the movie starts. But there are other surprises waiting for you that you should not miss!
The film comes to the regular schedule on Thursday, December 12. You will be able to watch it in stunning HFR and 4K technology in selected Cineplexx cinemas in Kranj, Celje and Maribor. Playing a movie in revolutionary HFR (high frame rate) technology with a display of 48 frames per second and 4K resolution will bring a new dimension to the viewing experience, creating the illusion of depth and immersing you in the action on the screen. In today's age of astonishing digital development, Cineplexx will be the first cinema in Slovenia where viewers can experience a new dimension of cinema and the unique experience of watching a film in HFR and 4K. The film will also be shown in 3D and 2D technology in all Cineplexx cinemas in Slovenia (Kranj, Celje, Maribor, Koper, Novo mesto and Murska Sobota).
