The future is here. Lexus was not kidding with its Slide floating board and upgraded the June promotional video with a demonstration video, where the superconducting board was put to the test at the Cubelles skating rink in Barcelona. Check out how she fared and what professional surfer Ross McGouran had to say about her.
A luxury car brand Lexus it is hoverboard Slides prepared together with experts for magnetic levitation from IFW Dresden and Evico GmbH. After the board passed the tests in the laboratory, the board was now tested in the field, more precisely in a skate park in Barcelona. Unfortunately, it is not a completely ordinary training ground, as this one is equipped with magnetic tape, so it can't be chased around the streets like Marty McFly, but the hoverboard more than passed the test, even if a master skater had Ross McGouran at first there were quite a few problems to conquer it.

The Slide board has instead of four wheels, two cryostatic containers, where cooled semiconductors they float in liquid nitrogen, which has a temperature of 197 degrees below freezing, while they are in the ground magnets. This combination allows the constant hovering of the board above the ground even if the surfer does not stand or jump on it (similar technology is already used by some Japanese trains). The novelty was first experienced by the aforementioned professional surfer Ross McGouran, who accompanied the novelty by saying that despite 20 years of surfing, he feels as if he has to with Slid to learn everything again.
