Some people need a giant house with a swimming pool for "happiness", while others need a comfortably equipped vehicle and sleep under the starry sky.
Why settle for five stars when you can have countless? Modern nomads have moved from uncomfortable tents to luxuriously equipped vehicles, and with their adventurous lifestyle they have conquered social networks in no time. Individuals, couples and families decided to live a slightly different life, some for life, others only for a month, two or six. To begin with, they bought a van, sold or rented out their apartments and made their new residence comfortable. There is no doubt, in just a few square meters you can find everything you need for a comfortable life, from comfortable beds, computer connections, to a shower cabin.
“One of the main reasons people choose to live in a van is to wake up to a view of the ocean or a national park. The best part is that you don't have to choose just one, you can have them all. You can visit music festivals, sleep right next to the forest under the starry sky or fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. You really realize how little it takes to be happy. We realized that we don't need a huge wardrobe and the latest trends, but also that you can cook wonderful dishes in a small square footage. Three months of living in a van also changed our perspective on how we affect the environment," she wrote. Katie Diederichs, author of the blog Two wandering soles.
Wake up in the morning with a view of the majestic mountain peaks, and fall asleep to the twinkling of the starry sky. Each side has two medals, and life on four wheels is no different. Many who have experienced this kind of lifestyle in recent years warn that with the immense freedom that this kind of style allows you, comes a lot of problems.
From visits to car mechanics, punctured tubes and technical problems, which are constant, especially if you choose an older vehicle, up to time-consuming everyday tasks. Some claimed that it took them a long time to prepare a simple lunch, as moving equipment and cooking utensils is a very time-consuming job. An even bigger problem arises if your new accommodation does not include toilets and showers, because in bad weather you can only dream of a hot stream of water.
"Of course, you won't post a video of falling on a skateboard, but the one when you do the trick perfectly. It is somehow the same with #vanlife. Photos of vans parked on the beach or under the trees are not real, most of them spend the night in campsites or in parking lots, and in a nice location they only get to take a photo," he told Insider magazine. Dan Lin, who lived on four wheels with his family for several years.
But if everyone only focused on the problems, then we'd probably be stuck at home. That's why we found some interesting residences on four wheels, and maybe you too are tempted by this kind of lifestyle.
