Hanging out with wild horses, enjoying their beauty and freedom and the untouched nature that surrounds you is an experience you will remember for a lifetime.
Livno, a town in the southwestern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, only 96 km from Split, lies at an altitude of 724 m east of the central part of the Livanja field. The southern parts of Cincarje, the Kruzi plateau, have been home to more than 700 wild horses for more than half a century. Livno's wild horses are enjoying themselves in life on an area of 150 km 2 in unspoiled nature, fresh air and endless pastures.
Due to large economic and war migrations, people left their homes and livestock behind, so a large number of workhorses ended up in these areas. Wild horses from Livanje are in 2010 protected, as their number has increased significantly. On the Kruzi plateau, they have ideal conditions for life, plenty of food, grazing and freedom.
Since 2017, a young couple from Livno has been organizing visits to Livno's wild horses under the name Wild Horses Adventure Foundry. It is for organized and guided tours emphasis on horse viewing, but also on getting to know the rich cultural history of Livno and getting to know local homemade food and recipes.
Feeding the horses is prohibited, but photography is permitted. It is important to note that the trip also includes a short walk to the viewpoint and a walk alongside the horses to follow them in their movements. Of course, the tours are suitable for children, if you wish, you can also bring your dog.
