Yesterday, as part of LJFW, the exhibition NE[S]CONČNO NEIBRESLJIV opened, dedicated to the deceased designer Zoran Garevski. Award-winning short fashion films were also screened in the Pritličje bar, while the talk over coffee was about fashion media, finances, magazine productions, advertising and commercial success.
An exhibition opened in the Right Atrium of the Town Hall NOT[S]FINALLY_INDELETEABLE, which is dedicated to the designer Zoran Garevski. The opening was attended by many of his colleagues and friends, including a fashion designer Nataša Peršuh, who said: "When I mention the name Zoran Garevski, I first think of an exceptional man and friend. Next to him as a designer ‒ with his charisma and design courage in creating in various fields of fashion, styling, costume design and original collections under his own brand is left an extraordinary mark on the aesthetics of a great period of Slovenian fashion history. We still feel him here, both those who had the opportunity to work and learn with him, as well as those who are just getting to know his work." Peršuhova said about the exhibition: "The layout is almost as if Zoran himself would have set it up. They feel Squat influences, at the same time it is very refined, romantic, somewhat melancholic and sincere, with an emphasis on holistic aesthetics. We cannot talk about the retrospective, but we can find it at the exhibition pieces from all periods of Zoran's work.”
The exhibition is open from today, Tuesday, September 20, until Friday, September 23 (from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.), and on Saturday, September 24, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., can be viewed in the Right Atrium of the Town Hall (Mestni trg 1, Ljubljana). It's a sight free of charge.
