LJFW 2016: fashion designer Sanija Reja

I come from Goriške Brd, where I grew up surrounded by tradition, homeliness and wine. I have always loved to create and that's how I ended up studying Textile and Clothing Design at NTF. I participated in the Young@Squat collective, and then I was an independent designer. I get inspiration from everywhere. I am particularly drawn to details that tend to be overlooked. I enjoy good movies that take you to a completely different atmosphere. By nature, I am an undercover romantic and nostalgic.

What does a presentation at LJFW mean to a designer?
It is certainly important for a designer to present his work to an even wider public and what better way to do it than at LJFW!

Inspiration, an idea for the autumn-winter 2016 collection?
The idea and whole story behind the collection revolves around naive young love.

The title of the collection?
ViennaWien.

What problems do you face when designing the Fall-Winter 2016/2017 collection?
The only problem that is often present is time.

How many times at fashion weeks?
I presented myself at LJFW several times. First as part of NTF school magazines, then several times as part of the young collective Young@Squat and finally as an independent designer. In the framework of the NTF magazine, I presented myself 2 times as part of my undergraduate studies and 2 times as part of my master's studies. I presented myself for the autumn/winter 2012, spring/summer 2013 and spring/summer 2016 seasons.
