The Congress Square in Ljubljana is the new venue for the Ljubljana Fashion Week. Between April 12 and 15, more than 20 designers and brands will present their fall-winter 2015/2016 collections at fashion shows as part of Ljubljana Fashion Week (LJFW).
With the shift of the main event to the strict center of the city, Ljubljana joins foreign fashion capitals, which pulsate with fashion during the presentation of the collections for the upcoming season. "We want Ljubljana Fashion Week to further strengthen its role as a fundamental communication channel that enables fashion designers, brands and fashion houses to present new collections to experts from the creative industry, buyers, potential investors and journalists. At the same time, it is very important for the general public to come into contact with what is happening in the field of Slovenian fashion design and to make them aware of its existence. In accordance with this, last year's event was already moved to the city center, which we upgraded this year with a new central venue - Congress Square. This turned out to be the most suitable location due to its central location and adequate infrastructure," said LJFW production team member Den Baruca.
Their collections will be from 12 to 15 April 2015 presented by the following designers or brands: Akultura, Almirasadar, Ana Jelinič, Draž, EBER krznarstvo, JSP, MAJA FERME FASHION, maja štamol, MÊHLÊ, Miro Misljen, PRINCIP, Tanja Zorn, SENS, Sofia Nogard, Squat (Dajana Ljubičić, Ivan Rocco, Natasa Persuh, Petja Zorec) and Young@Squat. They will be joined by designers from the countries of the Balkan Peninsula.
In addition to the above, students from all years of the Textile and Clothing Design Department of the Department of Textiles at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Ljubljana will present their creations at LJFW, which this year is held under the auspices of the Municipality of Ljubljana.
