The "Domača" toy was presented for the first time at this year's design month. We welcome Magda, Elizabeta, Poldet and France.
Two young mothers and textile designers, Špela Hvale and Veronika Maruško wanted to find a friendly and useful toy for their little ones. Since they couldn't find it and since they have knowledge, ideas and creativity, they started working on their own. They created a toy that has all the qualities that Špela and Veronika inherited from their grandparents and parents. It has quality, includes the use of sustainable, natural materials, is multifunctional and didactic. It is a group of four friends with very cute names - the cow is Magda, the cat is Elizabeta, the pig is Polde and the dog is France. All four are connected in a puzzle to form a larger pillow, or everyone can be a toddler's favorite small pillow or squishy. "Home" can be assembled into a rectangle or any shape, and each individual element can also be a toddler's rider, a backrest...
The elements are made of hemp canvas, millet seeds and water-based paints and are durable from high-quality materials, because the creators want their children's children to play with them. They are also completely washable, so they are also very functional.
"Homemade" toy stimulates the senses, imagination, creativity and motor skills. Because it is very special and if you cannot imagine exactly its function, the creators invite you November 28 in the Stiška teahouse in Ljubljana. Bring the youngest with you, who will give the most honest assessment of "Homemade".
