An evening of London stand-up comedy is in store. After the two-day mini-festival of British comedy in Zagreb's Lisinski Hall, the action moves to SiTi Teater.
After To Eddie Izzard and Dylan Moran all lovers stand up they eagerly await the evening of the original London stand-up comedy, they are also behind it this time Collective Urbani Ured and Tin Vodopivec. In a full-length play London calling three English-speaking comedians (two male comedians and one female comedian) from three continents will perform - Javier Jarquin from New Zealand, Dana Alexander from Canada and John Gordillo from Great Britain.
Javier Jarquin lives in North London and is not only one of New Zealand's leading comedians, he is also an MC, actor, magician and improviser. His style, as they wrote in the presentation, is brutally honest and dynamic. Javier co-created the TV show Scared Scriptless, entertained the Prime Minister of New Zealand and established himself with the show Legend of the card ninja. Dana Alexander considered the first female voice of Canadian stand-up, she tells timely, dark and fun stories inspired by a female perspective, gay friends and the culture shocks experienced by her crazy Jamaican family. He introduces himself as the last of the trio John Gordillo, active in numerous television, film and stage projects. Among other things, he made a name for himself as the director of Eddie Izzard's DVDs and the creator of the BBC comedy show RDA, as well as creating three of his own stand-up shows, all of which received rave reviews at the Edinburgh Festival.
Series London calling is considered synonymous with the original evenings of English stand-up, but it will not be shown here for the first time, as we have already had the opportunity to see a show from this series in the past. Anyone who was there knows that laughter will be provided. The performance will be in English.
