What should I see in London?

London is a great idea even for an extended weekend, as it allows you to enjoy it step by step. Nature lovers can hide in one of the beautiful English parks, among others Hyde Park or Green Park. The latter leads you to Buckingham Palace, where you join the trumpets at 11:30 a.m. as the spectacular changing of the guard begins. After a short walk across St. James's Park you arrive at Westminster Abbey, the famous abbey where Prince Charles and Lady Diana also pledged their allegiance.

If you head towards the Thames, you will notice the tall Big Ben, which is part of Westminster Palace and is considered one of the symbols of the city. It also rises along the Thames The London Eye, which offers the best views over the city, and from there continue to Piccadilly, where you'll find a range of evening dining options. A visit to the treasury is also interesting Tower of London, and for shopping lovers Harrods will be the right address. If you prefer wandering around creative districts, visit Camden Town or visit one of the rich museums.

Some tips that may come in handy when visiting London

When looking for accommodation, choose those in central London as they allow you to avoid long journeys on the Tubes and see more in less time. When planning a visit to London, avoid school holidays and public holidays when accommodation prices skyrocket. In addition to the main attractions, it is also possible to visit those where you are accepted without paying. Among others, this is a series of London museums, from the British Museum to the Tate Modern or the Victoria and Albert Museum.
