Lotus Elise Classic Heritage: a tribute to the brand's outstanding racing history

Lotus Elise Classic Heritage

Lotus has introduced four new limited edition versions of the Elise. Each has its own vibrant and distinctive color palette that pays tribute to Lotus' pioneering and extremely successful racing history.

Lotus has a long and rich history of racing and innovation behind it! Not only did he partially dominate F1 in the 1960s, but he also surprised again and again! The team with Colin Chapman at the head, with its bold constructions was considered to be pioneers of trends in the royal class of motorsport.

Lotus celebrates this history with 100 examples of the Elise Sport 220 model in four trademark colors representing the colors of some of their most successful F1 racing cars! These are black and gold, red white and gold, blue, red and silver and blue and white.

The famous black and gold combination refers to the color of the model Lotus Type 72D, with which Emerson Fittipaldi scored five victories in the 1972 F1 season. The red, white and gold are reminiscent of Lotus Type 49B, raced by Graham Hill in 1968, while the blue, red and silver model inspired Lotus Type 81 1980 driven by Nigel Mansell, Elio de Angelis and Mario Andretti.

The fourth new Elise in blue and white is a tribute Lotus Type 18 from 1960. Exactly 60 years ago, it was the first Lotus racing car that had the best starting position and won the Monaco Grand Prix. The late Sir Stirling Moss was behind the wheel.

In addition to its unique color scheme, which will be instantly recognizable to motorsport fans and which will also be repeated in the car's interior, each car has on the dashboard exclusive tile with a production number that will refer to a limited series. All four models will have the same price, 47,848 euros!
