The Lytro digital camera was one of the first to allow focusing and adjusting the focal length after the image was captured. With the new version - Lytra ILLUM, which is coming to the market in July, they have gone a step further and brought the capture of top-quality photos closer to amateur photographers as well.
The previous Lytro digital camera model was more of a demo version. New Lytro ILLUM but it brings Light Field 2.0 technology – capturing beams of light rays. This means you can explore your photos from different angles and focus on different points in the photo after you've already taken the picture. Contains 8x zoom lens and thus also covers amazing macro shots.
According to Lytro, the new sensor can capture 40 million light rays and thus offers a huge range of post-processing options. Among other things, you can create 3D images, adjust the depth of field and create tilt shift recordings. The resolution of the processed photos is 4 million points. With this, they want to get out of the world of static images and help photographers to start thinking in three dimensions when creating recordings.
The Lytro ILLUM digital camera has a number of new and useful functions. You can read more on the official website Lytra. It will initially be available only in the United States at a price of $1,500 (€1,084).
